To celebrate its 16th anniversary, on Sunday, June 7th, 2026 at 14.00 PM, it will prepare 16 tons of rice pilaf in Türkiye's largest cauldron in Beşiktaş and offer it free of charge to the people of Istanbul.

Under the slogan "16 Tons of Rice for 16 Million Istanbul Residents," the event will feature rice prepared in a giant steel pot and served free of charge to citizens throughout the day. The aim of the event is to highlight the culture of solidarity, unity, and sharing by having thousands of people share the same rice dish.
The event, which will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 14.00 PM in front of the Baruthane Pilavcısı Beşiktaş Branch, is open to all Istanbul residents and will be free of charge.
Türkiye's Largest Rice Pot Will Be Used on This Scale for the First Time.
As part of the event, Türkiye's largest rice cauldron, specially produced for Baruthane Pilavcısı by Öztiryakiler, a leading brand in the industrial kitchen equipment sector, will be set up in front of the Baruthane Pilavcısı Beşiktaş branch. Following preparations that will last throughout the day, 16 tons of rice will be cooked in the cauldrons and served free of charge to the citizens attending the event.
Throughout the day, in addition to rice being served, there will also be rice-eating competitions, surprise events, and various activities for the participants.
A Record-Breaking Journey from 4,5 Tons to 16 Tons
Baruthane Pilavcısı's long-standing tradition of serving rice pilaf will continue this year with an even bigger event. Following its 4,5-ton pilaf distribution in Şişli in 2018 and its 5-ton distribution in Beşiktaş in 2019, the brand is preparing to bring 16 tons of pilaf to the public this time as part of its 16th anniversary celebrations.
The goal is not just to distribute rice.
