Bodrum Cruise Port, part of the portfolio of Global Ports Holding, the world's largest cruise port operator, opened its cruise season this year, as it did last year, with the Palau-flagged Astoria Grande. The ship, carrying 909 passengers and 445 crew members, docked at Bodrum Cruise Port on April 3rd from Ege Port Kuşadası. During the season, which will continue until November, 19 ships will visit Bodrum Cruise Port for the first time. The port aims to host 140 cruise passengers with 119 planned ships throughout the year, and will also serve 150 passengers with ferry services to the Greek islands operated by 5 different ferry companies.
19 Ships Will Arrive in Bodrum for the First Time
Bodrum Cruise Port will host more luxury ships this year. In addition to the three voyages of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, which also visited the port last season, Four Seasons will visit with four voyages, Ponant with three different ships and four voyages in total, and Emerald Cruises with two new ships and two voyages.
The ships that will frequently call at Bodrum Cruise Port during the 2026 season have also been determined. Throughout the season, the port will host Aroya (owned by Aroya Cruises) 16 times, Marella Cruises 13 times, and Holland America Line (2 separate ships) 2 times each. Aidablu will also add Bodrum to its itinerary for the first time this year, making 5 trips to the port throughout the season. Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady will also visit Bodrum Cruise Port 7 times this year. In total, 19 ships will be visiting the city for the first time in 2026.
The port administration will continue its social responsibility projects and maritime awareness programs for students, organized using the ships it hosts.
'Its popularity is increasing with each passing season'
Aziz Güngör, Director of Eastern Mediterranean Ports at Global Ports Holding, stated that Bodrum Cruise Port hosts more luxury segment ships every year, saying, “This year we will host 19 new ships. Many ships will call at Bodrum more than once. As of the 2026 season, Bodrum will become a leading port in our country for luxury segment cruise ships. Considering both the ships that will call at our port for the first time and the interest of luxury segment ships, we see that the recognition and preference rate of Bodrum Cruise Port within international cruise routes is increasing every season.”
