It is Türkiye's second largest airport in terms of passenger numbers and Europe's ninth busiest. Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (ISG) International AirportSabiha Gökçen Airport celebrated its 25th anniversary with a ceremony held at the terminal. The ceremony, attended by ISG senior management and employees, as well as Dato' Mohd Izani Ghani, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), the terminal operator, included speeches followed by the cutting of a celebratory cake.

Opened on January 8, 2001, and serving 47,000 passengers that year, the airport reached 48,4 million passengers in 2025. In total, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport has served 48.4 million passengers in the past quarter century. 460 millions of passengers were served.

Dubbed the "City Airport" due to its proximity to Istanbul and surrounding destinations, Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, with its road, sea, and rail connections, is an ideal transfer point in high demand, connecting Istanbul to a total of 154 destinations, including 39 domestic and 115 international routes in 54 countries.

Located at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, Sharm El Sheikh stands out with its year-round warm climate, upscale hotels, and world-renowned diving and snorkeling spots.

From November 2025, Corendon Airlines will operate reciprocal flights to Sharm El Sheikh from Düsseldorf, Hannover and Nuremberg airports every Tuesday and Friday.

Emirates Unveils New Comfort Kit Collection | HORECA TREND

United for Wildlife and Emirates This collaboratively designed collectible series aims to draw attention to the world's most endangered animal species. For the first time for Premium Economy passengers, skin and travel wellness products from Aveda, known for its plant-based ingredients, are included in the kits. Emirates' new, reusable comfort kits focus on wildlife in four natural habitats: sea, sky, forest, and desert. Each bag is adorned with hand-drawn illustrations, and each contains a story card providing information about the featured animal species.

Among the endangered species highlighted by Emirates and United for Wildlife are African grey parrots, Arabian gazelles, Arabian oryx, Asian black bears, Bengal tigers, blue sharks, Borneo orangutans, Cape vultures, chimpanzees, fennec foxes, geckos, gibbons, glass frogs, green sea turtles, manta rays, painted bats, pangolins, peregrine falcons, red sand boas, small-clawed otters, straw-headed nightingales, totoaba, and western gorillas.

Passengers can learn more about the United for Wildlife initiative, founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation, by watching the Guardians documentary series, streamed via Emirates’ award-winning in-flight entertainment system, ice. The series focuses on the unsung heroes and wildlife rangers who risk everything to protect the natural world.

Emirates 2025/26 Premium Economy Class Comfort Kit Bags

Emirates Premium Economy Class is introducing its own dedicated comfort kit for the first time since its launch in 2021. These spacious bags with wrist straps contain travel and wellness products, soft socks, an eye mask, earplugs, a dental care kit, and Aveda lip balm, moisturizing hand cream, and moisturizing face lotion.

Socks and eye masks are made from 100% recycled polyester, while story card and earplug packaging is made from paper sourced from responsibly managed forests. Each collectible bag offered on long-haul overnight flights features hand-drawn artwork highlighting an endangered species. These species include pangolins, glass frogs, chimpanzees, Bengal tigers, Asian black bears, totoabas, small-clawed otters, manta rays, green sea turtles, geckos, peregrine falcons, red sand boas, fennec foxes, African grey parrots, painted bats, straw-headed nightingales, and Cape vultures.

Emirates Environmental Sustainability Framework

Emirates’ long-standing partnership with United for Wildlife is a key element of the Emirates Environmental Sustainability Framework, which focuses on combating illegal wildlife trade. Emirates actively fights against illegal wildlife trade and exploitation and is a member of the United for Wildlife Transport Taskforce.

Emirates has a zero-tolerance policy against the illegal trade in wildlife and its products. Emirates SkyCargo completely prohibits the transport of hunting trophies from elephants, rhinos, lions, and tigers. In June 2023, Emirates strengthened its commitment to environmental responsibility by obtaining IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) Stage 1 and Illegal Wildlife Trade module certifications.
