Senior Appointment in Nestlé Türkiye's Beverages Business Unit

NESCAFÉ , Turkey's most beloved coffee brand for 11 years , has given a new direction to its Turkish organization with a local appointment. Umut Tavaşoğlu, who has led Nestlé 's growth and transformation journey in Turkey and globally, will assume the role of General Manager of Nestlé Turkey Beverages Business Unit, effective September 1, 2025.
Tavaşoğlu began his career at Nestlé in 2006 and has held various management roles focused on sales. After serving as Marketing Manager in the Chocolate and Confectionery Business Unit in Turkey, Tavaşoğlu was appointed Global Chocolate and Confectionery Category Development Manager in Switzerland in 2018, leading the development of the global category strategy and its localization in over 20 markets. Returning to Türkiye in 2020, Umut Tavaşoğlu assumed the role of General Manager of the Chocolate and Confectionery Business Unit. He has contributed to award-winning innovations such as Damak Baklava and Damak Ala, as well as the Golden Effie award for Türkiye's first chocolate sustainability campaign.
In his last international role, Tavaşoğlu served as General Manager of the Chocolate and Confectionery Business Unit for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. He led the development of an innovative business strategy across seven markets and portfolio transformation through robust innovation plans. The Cannes Grand Prix, won under Tavaşoğlu's leadership during this period, is a first for KitKat both in the Czech Republic and globally.
Returning to Türkiye with his global experience, Umut Tavaşoğlu will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to achieve NESCAFÉ's growth, innovation and sustainability goals in his new role.
