A Revolution in Sustainability from Kütahya Porcelain

Kütahya Porcelain , which exports to over 100 countries on six continents, is raising the bar for sustainability in the sector with its Pearl formula developed by its R&D team . This formula contributes to the circular economy by recycling both the company's own waste and ceramic waste from outside the sector.

Dr. Tanzer Polat Yılmaz, Board Member and General Manager of Kütahya Porcelain: “We have achieved an environmentally friendly solution by recycling ceramic waste. In our soft porcelain production, we have included both our own waste and ceramic waste from outside the sector in the process. Thanks to Pearl, we have reduced carbon emissions in industrial processes by 33,79%, carbon emissions from raw materials by 54,35%, and carbon emissions from raw material shipments by 53,91%. In total, we have achieved an improvement of 51,41% . This success is a concrete demonstration of our innovative and responsible production approach.”

Produced with natural raw materials, Pearl collections add both an aesthetic and environmentally friendly touch to tables with their low carbon footprint and hygienic structure. Dr. Yılmaz states that the facilities in Kütahya not only produce porcelain but also contribute to healthy consumption , adding, “Our teams, closely monitoring customer trends and global developments, are developing innovative solutions to meet the rapidly increasing demand for sustainable and healthy products both domestically and internationally.”

Success Crowned with the Environmental Award

In 2024 , Kütahya Porcelain, which was awarded for its environmental responsibility and sustainable production approach at the "3rd Climate Leaders Awards" organized by Our World Foundation, reinforced its environmentally conscious approach with its designs based on the Pearl recipe.
