Corendon Airlines Aims for 2026 Percent Growth in the 20 Summer Season

Corendon Airlines is preparing to enter 2026 with ambitious goals, strengthening its growth trajectory in its 20th year. Aiming to offer holidaymakers a longer season, more flights, and an expanding travel network with new destinations, the airline held its traditional industry gathering, “Get Together 2025,” in Amsterdam on September 17th. Representatives from leading European tour operators, agencies, and airports attended the event, where increased capacity on flights departing from Germany and Austria, new destinations, the new Corendon Airlines office in Frankfurt, and strong collaborations within the tourism sector were announced.

The airline's new plans announced for the 2026 season offer significant opportunities for both passengers and tourism industry stakeholders. Significantly increasing capacity on flights originating from Germany and Austria, adding new routes, and closer collaborations with tour operators are the cornerstones of Corendon Airlines' new strategy.

Strengthening in Germany and Austria

Corendon Airlines plans to increase capacity by approximately 2026% on flights departing from Germany and 20% on flights departing from Austria for the 30 summer season, covering the period between April and October. While the current situation will be maintained in the Swiss market due to runway construction, growth is targeted in the UK and a near-doubling of capacity in Poland.

Record increase for Spain and Egypt

Corendon Airlines' new capacity increases will also be reflected in its destinations. Single-digit growth is projected for flights to Türkiye, while seat increases to Spain are expected to reach 90% and Egypt to exceed 150%. Flights to Greece are expected to grow by 12%, with Crete being a particular standout in this market.

10 aircraft to four bases in Germany

Corendon Airlines will deploy a total of 2026 aircraft to its bases in Düsseldorf, Hanover, Cologne/Bonn, and Nuremberg, Germany, one of its strongest markets, in the summer of 10. This move will see the company serve Germany with approximately twice as many aircraft as in 2025, and its fleet of 35 aircraft will be used more efficiently.

New office in Frankfurt

Corendon Airlines has opened a new office within the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM) at Frankfurt Airport to support its growth strategy in Germany. This move aims to establish a more active presence in the German market with an expanded team and strong sales partnerships.

Corendon Airlines Sales & Marketing Director Christian Hein commented on the 2026 targets: “We expect approximately 2026 percent growth across all markets in the summer of 20. We anticipate an increase of up to 45 percent, particularly in the second quarter. Our most important strategic step will be to strengthen our four bases in Germany with additional aircraft. Our successful performance over the last three years has provided us with a solid foundation. This allows us to move forward with confidence with new investments.”

More frequency in main destinations

Popular holiday destinations such as Antalya, Heraklion-Crete, and Hurghada are at the center of growth. Corendon Airlines will increase the frequency of its flights to Hurghada from Nuremberg, Düsseldorf, and Cologne/Bonn from three to five per week. Additionally, many routes that were only on the short-term schedule in 3 will continue throughout the summer season in 5. The Münster/Osnabrück-Heraklion route has also been added to Corendon Airlines' flight network.

Sharm El Sheikh winter program

Corendon Airlines is adding the popular holiday destination of Sharm El Sheikh to its flight network for the 2025/2026 winter season. Starting in November 2025, flights to Sharm El Sheikh will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays from Düsseldorf, Hanover, and Nuremberg, offering holidaymakers a new alternative.
