NESCAFÉ Gold Last year, he carried his project, which brought young artists' digital productions to a wide audience, one step further this year by declaring "This Cup is on the Road to Art." From Nevşehir to Mardin, from Trabzon to Van…
Project participants, led by Istanbul Modern, met with four esteemed instructors from diverse fields of art practice. The project's first stop, in Nevşehir, was a workshop led by Prof. Dr. Necla Rüzgâr, exploring the impact of the Anthropocene on humans and nature through an artistic lens. The second stop, in Mardin, involved participants in Sabire Susuz's workshop, "Authentic Subject," which provided an opportunity to interpret themes shaped by the body, identity, and social norms. In Trabzon, the "Sound and Culture" workshop, led by Prof. Dr. Alper Maral, explored topics such as environmental sounds, soundscapes, and soundscapes. The final stop, in Van, involved participants in a workshop titled "Exploring Nature, Discovering Oneself," focusing on connecting with nature, observation, and artistic expression, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Asgar Çakmakcı.
In addition to workshops held in four different cities, the project also included art history courses led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seda Yavuz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Nalan Sülün, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Yetişkin, and theoretical art studies courses led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fırat Arapoğlu.

Speaking about the program's outcomes, Istanbul Modern Education and Social Projects Director Neslihan Varol emphasized the importance of this educational model offered to fine arts graduates: “We have successfully completed the first year of our 'On the Path to Art' program. We provided a learning environment focused on sharing for fine arts graduates from various cities. We were very pleased to see the participants develop their creative perspectives and produce new projects. The program also made a significant contribution to our goal of equal opportunity by increasing access to arts education outside of Istanbul.”
