PepsiCo, one of the world's largest food and beverage companies, has announced a significant appointment. İpek Süzmetaş, CFO of PepsiCo Turkey , has taken up the role of Vice President of Finance (CFO) for the Eastern European region.
Süzmetaş, who joined the PepsiCo family in 2011 and has achieved many successful accomplishments within the company to date, was previously part of the Central European team where he served as CFO of the Eastern Balkans. He also held various positions in the European Category Finance team and within the Turkey Business Unit. For the past three years, Süzmetaş served as CFO of Turkey and a member of the Board of Directors of the Strauss Frito-Lay Joint Venture . During this period, despite volatile market conditions, Süzmetaş distinguished himself with his strategic leadership, achieving significant increases in the company's revenue and profitability.
In her new role, Suzmetaş will be responsible for financial management across PepsiCo's market in a highly diverse region like Eastern Europe, encompassing 21 countries, a population of 220 million, 14 languages, and three different alphabets. With her visionary leadership and strong analytical skills, Süzmetaş is expected to make a significant contribution to the region's strategic objectives.
Before joining PepsiCo, Süzmetaş worked as a Financial Planning Manager at British American Tobacco. A graduate of Boğaziçi University's Department of Business Administration, Süzmetaş achieved significant success in a 22-year career, holding various positions in Commercial Finance, Managerial Accounting, and Internal Auditing.
