Six Senses Kaplankaya Provides Educational Support to Women in the Region

Focusing on the principles of respect for nature, preserving cultural heritage and supporting social development, Six Senses Kaplankaya strengthens its green hotel management approach not only with environmental actions but also with social responsibility projects. In this context, the education support program initiated under the leadership of the hotel's Housekeeping Director Nilay Özdemir Yıldırım encourages young girls and women living in the region to obtain high school diplomas from abroad.

For five years Nilay Özdemir Yıldırım, who works as Housekeeping Director at Six Senses Kaplankaya, She describes this process with the following words: “We are the Mothers of our Hotel. We welcome our guests in our hotel like the mothers of the house, and we support them with the motherly power behind all departments. Everything starts with loving people. Loving and respecting your team and working in harmony is very important. I am very lucky to have a great team.

Within the scope of Local Sensitivity & Global Sensitivity, which is the most important building block of our brand, we are doing great things with our women in our local region. My priority in these 5 years has been to support our women to increase their education levels and to train educated managers for both our hotel and our sector. And thankfully, I have achieved my goal; under the leadership of my female team leaders, we provide our guests with unforgettable experiences with our entire team.”

The women in the project complete their unfinished education, rebuild their self-confidence and begin to take on more active and productive roles in society. Nilay and her team guide women one-on-one to join the open high school system, provide resources to prepare for exams and offer them moral motivation. The program initiates a long-term transformation in women's lives through education.

This meaningful initiative, which combines local sensitivity with global sensitivity, not only strengthens individuals but also the community. Facilitating women's access to education, this project supports social equality, one of the most fundamental elements of sustainable development.
