Martı Hotel Operations Inc. and Martı GYO Board Member Uğur Gökhan Sarı has passed away. Sarı, who also served as the CEO of Beşiktaş Group of Companies for a period, will be buried in Kilyos Cemetery after the midday prayer to be held at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Who is Uğur Gökhan Sarı?

Uğur Gökhan Sarı, who graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Economics in 1989, gave courses on Introduction to Economics, Economic Analysis and Investment and Project Evaluation to Anadolu University Open Education Faculty students before his graduation.

Sarı, who started his career as an Assistant Specialist at the Capital Markets Board Partnership Finance Department in 1990, studied finance at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School for one year in 1997.

In 2000, Sarı left the Capital Markets Board and moved to the private sector to manage the public offering process of Beşiktaş Futbol Yatırımları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., and during this period, he served as both the General Manager of Beşiktaş Futbol Yatırımları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. and the General Coordinator of Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club Association for approximately four years.

2004 - 2009 Sarı, who served as General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Beltaş Beşiktaş Municipality Business Administration Industry and Trade Inc. between 2009 - 2011 He served as the Deputy Mayor of Beşiktaş Municipality between 2000-2010. Sarı worked as the Business Development Coordinator at the Doors Group for a short time, and then served as the CEO of the Beşiktaş Group of Companies for approximately eight years.

Uğur Gökhan Sarı, who holds a Capital Market Activities Level 3 License, Corporate Governance Rating License, Real Estate Valuation License, Derivative Instruments License and Credit Rating License, was most recently serving as an Independent Member on the Boards of Directors of Martı Hotel Operations Inc. and Martı GYO, publicly traded companies within the Martı Group.
