Barilla and Formula 1 announced their new partnership at a press conference held in Bahrain on Friday, April 11. The meeting was attended by Barilla Group Vice President and former F1 driver Paolo Barilla, Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and Barilla Category and Marketing Director Ilaria Lodigiani.
“Passion and Labor are Our Common Ground”
Former F1 driver and Barilla Group Vice President Paolo Barilla explained the collaboration with Formula 1 as follows: "What common ground can there be between a lightning-fast F1 car and a delicious plate of pasta? At first glance, there may not be much similarity. However, behind both lies the work of passionate and competent professionals who are dedicated to continuous improvement. After an intense struggle, it is our greatest pleasure to be able to offer all participants of Formula 1 a plate of pasta they deserve."

With this partnership, Barilla aims to have a strong presence on and off the track. Fans will enjoy the races with delicious Barilla pasta bars to be set up in the Formula 1 Paddock Club and Paddock areas. In addition, Barilla aims to reach F1 fans with trackside advertisements, digital interactions and global consumer campaigns.
