Producing strategic projects within the scope of women's employment Arabica Coffee House, has also taken a special initiative to support people living in rural areas most affected by the climate crisis. As part of the Seeds of 100 Years Project, women in these villages received training in seed ball production and earned income. The seed balls were distributed to designated areas via drones. In this way, a solution is offered to the income inequality of groups directly affected by the climate crisis, while also making a positive contribution to nature.
As part of another project for women; Arabica Coffee House aimed to increase the number of audiences it reached by supporting the film “Escape from the Darkness”, which is inspired by a dramatic and true story that addresses the issue of violence against women, in order to draw attention to the theme of “violence against women”. Arabica Coffee House Founding Partner Elif Ülger Yalçın donated this support to the Mor Çatı Women's Shelter Foundation. The donation aimed to raise awareness against violence against women.
We Will Continue to Produce Projects for Women's Employment and Be a Pioneer
Emphasizing the importance of Women's Day, they expressed the steps taken to support women's rights, equality and participation in the workforce on this special day every year. Arabica Coffee House CEO Sertac Yalcin: “With the projects we have been continuing for years, we not only ensure women’s participation in the workforce, but also offer them opportunities that will give them economic independence. We will continue our work to enable women to become stronger, more independent and free individuals. We have implemented a project that has broken new ground with İŞKUR, enabling housewives who have not received any education or have no profession to acquire a profession and work. We provided women with 512 hours of pastry training in our food factory, provided them with a professional qualification certificate and offered them job opportunities. Arabica Coffee House has set an example in the sector by increasing the number of female employees to 560, and we have provided employment opportunities to a total of 2208 women to date. As Arabica Coffee House, we will continue our work to empower women with projects that support gender equality.”
