With the perfect hosting of Elexus Hotel, the masterful touches of the Chefs and the excitement of the participants, the 4th Chefs’ Duet event ended with unforgettable memories. In this year’s event, the distinguished flavors of Mediterranean cuisine were presented by blending them with modern techniques. In the organization where gastronomy enthusiasts came together, menus inspired by the fertile lands of the Mediterranean were prepared. Participants both tasted delicious dishes and had the opportunity to listen to the stories and cooking techniques behind these dishes from the masters.

A Unique Experience with a Gourmet Tasting Menu

The special tasting menu offered throughout the event left an unforgettable impression on the palate. Here are some of those magnificent flavors:

  • Pumpkin Soup with Truffle Sage: Prepared with pumpkin, vegetable broth and cream, this soup is served with a touch of truffle oil and chives.
  • Poached Pear Brulee and Goat Cheese Salad: Pears cooked in port wine, blended with caramelized walnuts and goat cheese.
  • Curry Scallops, Pea Veloute and Cornbread: This dish, which is enriched with seafood, spices and vegetables, received full marks from the guests.
  • Grilled Sea Bass, Leek Spaghetti and Lemongrass Sauce: Fresh sea bass offered a completely different taste experience with saffron and lime aromas.
  • Linden Smoked Lamb Saddle: Enriched with saffron sweet potatoes and dried figs, this dish was one of the favorites of the event.
  • Twisted Baklava: A modern interpretation of traditional baklava, prepared with pistachio paste and crispy pastry.

Gastronomy and Culture Meet in Cyprus

This meeting, where the event was not limited to a food experience, also presented the historical and cultural richness of Cyprus to the participants. A special visit to the historical Othello Castle in Famagusta took us on a journey into the history of the island, while interesting anecdotes about the Mediterranean culinary culture were shared.
