Özyeğin University and Accor Collaborate for Future Hotel Leaders

Özyeğin University and Accor have taken a step to strengthen the ties between academia and the sector by signing an innovative collaboration for the tourism and hotel industry. The “Accor Executive Training Program” aims to train future hotel managers and leaders, while providing students with sectoral experience at the management level and contributing to the development of their management skills. Turkey's innovative and entrepreneurial university, Özyeğin University, and Europe's largest accommodation and tourism group, Accor, came together to support the development of young people in the tourism and hotel industry and to develop international career opportunities. Within the scope of the Accor Executive Training Program, which had a signing ceremony recently, qualified executive candidates needed in the tourism and hotel industry will be trained.

Bringing together the academic power of Özyeğin University and the global experience of Accor, the program will provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical application opportunities. Designed to meet the tourism sector's need for educated and dynamic employees, students participating in the program will have the opportunity to closely learn sectoral dynamics, participate in trainings that develop leadership skills, and have international career journeys.

This collaboration signed between Özyeğin University and Accor will offer student development opportunities in addition to the executive development program. As a reflection of the initiatives created to introduce the potential of the hotel sector to support different disciplines in universities and to develop new opportunities; a hotel room in the Center of Excellence of the Faculty of Applied Sciences will be furnished within the scope of a student project competition under the supervision of Özyeğin University Hotel Management and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Departments faculty members, with the support and coordination of the Accor Turkey architecture office.
