MICHELIN Guide Hotel Selection and MICHELIN Keys
The MICHELIN Guide, known worldwide for its restaurant selections and Star ratings, has relaunched its global hotel selection, encompassing more than 7.000 properties, in recent years.
Just as stars define the finest culinary experiences, the MICHELIN Keys highlight the most exceptional stays within the Guide's selection of hotels. Evaluated by the MICHELIN Guide Inspectors on five universal criteria, the Keys establish the first independent global benchmark for hospitality excellence, focusing not only on amenities but also on the hotel's overall hospitality experience:
- A MICHELIN Key: A very special stay
A true gem, bursting with character and personality. It may be unconventional, offering something different, or it may be one of the best of its kind. The service offered goes far beyond similarly priced establishments.
- Two MICHELIN Keys: An extraordinary stay
It offers a unique and extraordinary experience in every aspect. It stands out with its character, charm, and meticulous management. Its striking design and architecture, reflecting the spirit of its location, ensure an unforgettable stay.
- Three MICHELIN Keys: An extraordinary stay
It offers a surprising and luxurious experience – the pinnacle of comfort, quality service, style, and elegance. It is one of the world's most remarkable and extraordinary hotels, the ideal destination for a trip of a lifetime.
Having highlighted more than 1.500 exceptional hotels with the MICHELIN Key at the beginning of 2024 and 2025, the MICHELIN Guide now goes a step further, both showcasing and making bookable the world's best hotels.
