Gohar draws inspiration from Istanbul in her collection, designed at the intersection of art, gastronomy and craftsmanship as part of the brand's "Global Explorer" program.
As part of the project, Laila Gohar has created a limited edition collection of 6 candles inspired by 6 of The Luxury Collection’s most iconic hotels. Inspired by Istanbul as well as culturally rich cities such as Prague, Madrid, Savannah, Nashville, Tokyo and Paris, Gohar offers guests an unforgettable experience by highlighting each city’s distinct gastronomic and cultural heritage with candles and cakes.
Starting its global journey from Istanbul and with the participation of Laila Gohar Sanasaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul within its structure Sini RestaurantThis special collection, which was introduced with the “Cake & Champagne” invitation with the participation of 80 people, has a special meaning for The Luxury Collection. Istanbul, which is the source of inspiration for this collection with its historical heritage and layered cultural structure, and its architecture and aesthetics bearing traces of Byzantium and Ottoman, meets with Gohar’s creative perspective and turns into a gastronomic work of art reflecting the city and its history.
Expressing her excitement to continue this collaboration, Laila Gohar said, “This process has given me the opportunity to explore more locations within The Luxury Collection portfolio and explore the intersection of gastronomy and craftsmanship in our cake and candle collection.”
Gohar enriched her cakes by using regional fruits such as sour cherry and fig in her designs that reflect the cultural diversity and historical depth of Istanbul. Similarly, her candle designs reflect the historical texture of Istanbul in detail, offering a historical and cultural piece to guests exploring the city.
