Speaking at the company's 50th anniversary event, Yorglass said that the story of Yorglass began with a passion for production, quality and customer satisfaction-oriented approach. Yorglass Chairman of the Board Celestial Quilters; “Our story began with the great contributions of my mother and father, when we ignited the spark of becoming a family company in 1974. This exciting initiative turned into a great success over the years. In 1989, we produced decorative glass for the first time in Turkey. In the same year, we established our white goods glass production facility in Bolu and gained an important place in the sector. In 2003, we left the sector for a short time by transferring the white goods business line, but during this period, we always considered the expectations of our customers. In 2012, in line with the intense demands of our customers, we returned to white goods glass production and continued to grow rapidly in this field. We strengthened our position in the sector by opening our currently active factories one after another.

Today, as a reliable and global supplier of the glass world, we are advancing with sure steps in the sector with our knowledge and experience in industrial glass processing and flat glass trade. We produce our products under the business units of Yorglass Satina, Yorglass Commercial Cooler and Yorglass White Goods in seven factories located in five different cities of Turkey, and reach our national and international customers with our wide range of products. We are proud to have become a global power in 50 continents and 6 countries today by igniting that first spark 60 years ago even more strongly.”

Breaking Records in Exports, Touching Thousands of Lives

He said that they have a wide export network extending from Europe to America, from India to Guatemala. Celestial Quilters“We provide services in a wide area with more than 150 different types of glass and more than 70 suppliers from all over the world. At this point, we have proven our export power by rising to the second place in our sector in the list of Turkey's Top 1000 Exporters. We have created a significant impact not only in the industrial field but also in society in general. As of now, we touch the lives of thousands of people, including our suppliers and business partners, along with our 400 employees and their families. We have accelerated our work in order to further increase our export potential with both our new factory and our R&D center, which has been accredited by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. All the investments we have signed have enabled us to win dozens of awards in many different areas ranging from innovative products to sustainability, from reliable suppliers to volunteering in the national and international arena. We have added the pride of being the export champion many times and entering the list of the best employers with our 460 customers, growing every day. We have added awards given by prestigious organizations to our account with our sustainable solutions. We have won many awards thanks to our digital investments and won first places in the world's most important design competitions. We have no doubt that we will achieve new successes together with our most valuable asset, our employees," he said.

A Journey Dedicated to Sustainability

Stating that they have focused on sustainability in their business processes for the past 50 years, Quilters; “Since the first day of our establishment, we have developed production methods that respect nature and humanity by saying, ‘There is a future behind this glass’. Our sustainability approach criteria include transparency, ethical behavior, reduction of environmental impacts, respect for employee rights and supply chain management. As a result of all these criteria, we have risen to the bronze category in the Ecovadis Sustainability Index. We continue our work without interruption to raise this success to the gold category. In addition, as a company with all its businesses receiving a zero waste certificate, we received an A score in the CDP Supplier Relations Rating as a result of our work and achievements on climate change. In light of our commitment to the environment, we have also signed an important social responsibility project and launched our ‘Glass-Like Seas’ project with TURMEPA in 2022. Thanks to our project, the wastewater we collected in the 2023 summer season alone is equivalent to the daily wastewater produced by 2 people, and thanks to this collected wastewater, 600 million liters of seawater have been kept clean. “Within the scope of our project, in which we contributed to the collection of more than 4 thousand liters of liquid waste in two years, we turned our route to Selimiye this year and cleaned the blue waters for the third time,” he said.

50 Years Full of Success Celebrated with Joy

Stating that their devoted employees are behind their success and gains, Heavenly Quilters; “We have always emphasized that our greatest strength in our 50-year adventure is our employees. In this event, we wanted to honor their valuable efforts and focus on our future goals together. In this special event we held in Sapanca with the theme of 'Candan Cama 50th Year', we celebrated our company's 50-year history and achievements together with our teammates. Our celebration started with employee activities during the day. In the evening, we were proud to watch the show prepared by Choreographer and Artistic Director Yasin Soy, which brought our half-century journey dedicated to glass to the stage. This fascinating show reinterpreted our past achievements with an artistic language, reminding the audience once again of the importance of embracing this valuable heritage and looking to the future with hope. Semih Saygıner's speech on success and being brave was inspiring for a company like us that constantly achieves new successes with brave steps. “On this occasion, I would like to once again express my gratitude to all my past and present colleagues, business partners, stakeholders and customers who have contributed to Yorglass's 50-year adventure,” he concluded.

As a result of the ongoing climate crisis in the world, The Good Wild is taking steps to produce the food of the future by taking inspiration from the wild due to the decrease in food resources and access to good food, and is taking steps to sprout the future with its “Upgraded Food” category.

The Good Wild, which is the first in the world to use sprouting and fermentation methods together and is a pioneer in its field, brings together its products and areas of use with the leading names of the gastronomy world. With its wide range of products consisting of sprouted products, sprouted fermented products and sprouted soups, dried legume sprouts, sprouted snacks, sprouted granola varieties, sprouted legume flours and crispy legumes, which it has improved with traditional innovation, The Good Wild is gaining the appreciation of more and more chefs every day. While sprouted snacks and granolas attract the attention of chefs, salads prepared with sprouted legumes and crispy legumes that can be added to meals are attracting attention.

Chefs say they feel close to the philosophy of the new “Upgraded Food” category created by The Good Wild, that the products inspire them and that they want to see more and different varieties.

Emphasizing the importance of adding value to food habits, Consultant Chef Aydın Demir said; “This new food category developed by The Good Wild excited me as a chef. I was pleased to know that we could develop brand new recipes with this category, as well as add new flavors to the traditional dishes, appetizers, and soups we already make. All of The Good Wild products are products that I can use in my recipes and menus. Especially snack plates, salads, and soups are the first categories that come to my mind to try the products.”

Dafni Ateşbaşı Founding Chief Yaren Çarpar; “After learning the story and philosophy behind the word “Yaban”, I felt even closer to the brand. In today’s world where eating is more than just filling your stomach, it is very enjoyable to know that “Upgraded Food” is food that is good for your body. Also, as a chef who cares about taste, I can say that The Good Wild products that offer taste and benefit together appeal to me. I would like to use sprouted mung beans and other fermented products in appetizers, spices in all hot and cold products, and crackers in my services along with my products.”

Buselik Meyhane Chef Mihta Yıldırımtaş, who stated that the definition of “The New Wild of the City” evoked in him the feelings of freedom, pioneering, innovation and naturalness, said; “Upgraded Food is like an even more super version of Super Food. Its hidden features have been brought to light, and it is an even more beneficial and delicious version of healthy food. All of The Good Wild products are delicious and creative products that I would like to use in my menu. I want to expand the area of use by using these products especially in fish and fish-related products. I am thinking of using fermented products in cold starters and garnishes, dried legume sprouts in purees, salads, side garnishes and crispy legumes to add umami to all dishes.”

Having completed its first round investment in July of this year under the leadership of Founder One, the first impact investment fund of Germany, Switzerland and Turkey, The Good Wild now continues its R&D studies with the EU support of TÜBİTAK as a brand that is on its way to becoming a global player and preparing for export.
