Barilla Makes Little Angela's Dream Come True

9-year-old Angela's dream was made a reality by Barilla's design team. Angela, who wrote a letter to the Barilla CEO thinking, "I wish the pasta could hold the sauce longer," finally received a specially produced "hat-designed" pasta. Barilla brought this unusual suggestion to life, and sent Angela a pasta that it specially produced and packaged as a gift, making the little pasta lover's dream come true.

An important representative of Italian gastronomy culture that reaches millions of tables in over 100 countries every day Barilla, recently made a little girl's dream come true and produced hat-shaped pasta.

Angela, a 9-year-old who loves eating pasta, dreamed of a pasta that could hold more sauce and wrote this idea with the help of her mother in a letter. Barilla CEO Gianluca Di Tondo Angela’s heartfelt letter read, “Hello Gianluca Di Tondo, I want to try a new type of pasta that looks like a hat that can hold the sauce. If you like it, you can make it.” This message inspired the CEO of Barilla and his team.

Two months later, CEO Gianluca Di Tondo wrote Angela a handwritten reply: “I enthusiastically forwarded your letter and your idea for a new pasta shape to my design team. They were very happy with this wonderful idea that would hold more sauce. They have already started working on the idea!” Angela’s letter led to the production design team in Parma bringing the hat-shaped pasta to life, and just four months later, Angela was sent a specially prepared box.

The letter inside the box read: “As I promised in my previous letter, we worked with pleasure on your inspiring dream about hats and produced the first design using 3D technology. We wanted to share this first design with you right away, we hope you like it. It will take some time to produce these new pastas on a large scale, but we are already excited that they will reach many kitchens.”

Eksun Gıda Announced 2024 Financial Results

Eksun Gıda announced its 2024 financial results on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The company's domestic sales amounted to 7,8 billion TL, while exports amounted to 2,3 billion TL. Eksun Gıda, which has more than 200 product varieties under the brands Sinangil and Sinangil Gluten YOK, published its 2024 financial results on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). According to the results prepared in accordance with the inflation accounting principles of the Turkish Accounting Standards 29 (TMS), the company's net sales revenue was 10,1 billion TL, its gross profit was 791 million TL, and its gross profit margin was 7,8 percent.

Underlining that Eksun Gıda is taking firm steps towards its growth targets with its strong investment strategy, Ahmet Demir, “In order to reinforce our advantageous position in the sector, we invested in 12 flour silos in our Konya factory. Thus, we increased the flour silo storage capacity of our Konya factory by 34,3 percent to 4.700 tons. We increased the total flour silo storage capacity of our Tekirdağ and Konya factories by 11,4 percent to a total of 11.700 tons,” he said.

He also touched upon the participation of Babaeski Agricultural Products Licensed Warehousing Inc. located in Kırklareli in Eksun Gıda. Iron, “With this investment, we aim to optimize our storage processes with advanced technology.
