Sacrifice Meat Should Not Be Eaten Immediately After It Is Slaughtered!
Adsız said, “The issue I would particularly like to mention is that the meat should not be consumed immediately after the sacrifice on the morning of the Eid. We may experience both cooking and digestion difficulties. If possible, I recommend resting the meat for 1 day and consuming it that way. If we talk about the cooking method, we know that cooking at high heat close to a barbecue has a carcinogenic effect. If we are going to barbecue the meat, we can pre-cook it and reheat it on the barbecue, or we should be careful not to keep it too close. "It should be cooked and stored with healthy methods such as boiling, baking and grilling as much as possible," he said.
What should be the storage conditions for sacrificial meat?
Dietician Mekseliyna Adsız, who also drew attention to the storage conditions of the sacrificed meat, said, "If we talk about the storage conditions, the meat should not be cut into large pieces, but should be cut into small pieces such as minced meat cubes, placed in refrigerator bags and stored in the freezer section of the refrigerator or deep freezer. "It can be stored for a longer period of time, such as 2-7 days in the refrigerator at -10 degrees Celsius, and 18 months in the deep freezer at -3 degrees Celsius," he suggested.

Attention Cardiovascular Patients!
Pointing out that extra oil should not be added to vegetables or legumes made using meat, Adsız said: “Those with chronic diseases should definitely pay attention to their nutrition. Since offal consumption also increases during this period, especially those with cardiovascular disease, cirrhosis and hypercholesterolemia should not consume offal.”

You Should Drink 3 Liters of Water a Day!
Dietitian Mekseliyna Adsız said that 3 liters of water should be consumed daily because there will be an intense protein intake during Eid al-Adha and it will be difficult to digest, and added, "Those who have digestive problems during the day can take a walk."

Dietitian Adsız, who also makes suggestions about desserts, which are indispensable treats during Eid visits, said: "Excessive consumption of foods that we have a weakness for, such as desserts and pastries, may be a risk factor for health. It can be especially dangerous for diabetic patients. If we are going to consume dessert, you can consume milk desserts instead of lower-calorie, sherbet desserts.
