Kahan Yavaş, who draws attention with his long-standing experience in tourism and gastronomy, has started working as the new Executive Chef of İzmir Marriott.

Yavaş began his culinary career in a small coastal town, in a cozy tavern where seafood played a key role, and over the years, with his experience, he has earned a respected place in the Turkish culinary world. The accomplished chef, who became the 2018 Turkish Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Champion, successfully introduced Turkish cuisine to the international arena by representing Turkey at the world championship held in Taiwan that same year.
