2 New Investments from Abalıoğlu Yağ to İzmir

With its investments, Abalıoğlu Yağ will have a total soybean processing capacity of 4.900 tons in its İzmir Çiğli, Aliağa and Mersin factories.

The company, which will reach a daily processing capacity of 100 tons of soybeans in the new facility to be established on 2.500 decares of land in Aliağa, will, with this investment, launch Turkey's first soy protein concentrate production, called SPC, and produce high-protein soybean meal, which is used as a raw material in animal nutrition. will diversify its product range. With these investments, it will also increase the sunflower seed crushing capacity in its existing facilities in Aliağa.

The world's leading engineering companies were selected for the project design of both investments. The project of the investment in Aliağa; While Crown, defined as the world's most creative leading company in its field, providing engineering services in process technologies, is making the investment in Çiğli, Italy's leading engineering company Andreotti Impianti and Switzerland-based Bühler AG, which produces high quality machinery and technology, are making the investment in Çiğli.

Making a statement about investment Abalıoğlu Board Member Zeynep Abalıoğlu; “With these two new investments, we are increasing our facilities in Izmir to a total of 200 thousand square meters. When our additional facility in İzmir Çiğli becomes operational in 2024, our facility will have a daily processing capacity of 1.400 tons of soybeans. We aim to finalize our investment in Aliağa and put it into operation in 2025. Thanks to our deep-rooted history, the care we pay to our business, our investments in technology and human resources, and our knowledge, we are growing not only in our country but also in global markets. Today, we export sunflower oil and soybean oil to more than 40 countries. "We reach markets around the world such as Australia, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Ghana, India, England, Egypt, Rwanda and Senegal," he said.
