Bidfood Opened Distribution Center in Ankara
Bidfood Turkey, one of the leading companies specializing in out-of-home consumption and food, has increased its distribution capacity with Bidfood Anadolu, which it opened in Ankara.
Bidfood Turkey CEO Nedim Makzume stated that they aim to increase distribution areas and service quality , emphasizing that Bidfood Anatolia, which was established in a short period of 4 months, is 'a success story unique to Bidfood'.
Bidfood Turkey , an out-of-home consumption (OOH) and food distribution company serving over 15.000 hotels, restaurants, cafes, national chains, and retail customers across Turkey , accelerated its investments following a record-breaking 2021. Offering customized solutions to meet the diverse needs of OOH businesses, Bidfood Turkey increased its distribution capacity with the opening of Bidfood Anadolu in Ankara. Simultaneously, the company also launched its online OOH portal, MyBidfood, for use by its business partners in Ankara.

The new distribution center plays a significant role in Bidfood Turkey's growth plans. Stating that the installation works for the Bidfood Anadolu Ankara distribution center, which is located on a total area of 4.200 square meters, started in May this year, Nedim Makzume said, “Our warehouse has become fully ready for acceptance and shipment with all its infrastructure on September 1, 2022. We took delivery of our Frozen Warehouses 25 days after the order date and ensured that they were completed in a record time. The completion of a warehouse and working system of this size in a short period of 4 months is an important success story unique to Bidfood.”
In the distribution center, which has a total dry food storage capacity of 3.000 pallets and a cold storage capacity of 390 pallets, 15 people are employed at the first stage.
The Number of Distribution Centers Will Increase
Bidfood Turkey CEO Makzume stated that 2022 will be a year when it starts operating in new regions, the existing infrastructure is renewed and expanded and digital investments come to the fore. This year, after Bursa and Ankara, we are planning to open a new distribution center on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Within the framework of our sustainability plans, we will build nature-friendly, highly efficient, self-sufficient centers. Towards the end of the year, we plan to open a small production center in the Izmir region and produce special products for our customers.”
