Lipton Begins Tea Harvest in the Eastern Black Sea Region

Lipton , which has been bringing the delicious teas of the Eastern Black Sea region to tea lovers for nearly 40 years , began its first harvest under its new company, ekaterra, on Friday, May 20th. Launching its first flush purchases with the slogan "Together for Our Tea," Lipton is implementing a series of practices for tea purchasing centers, Lipton factories, tea producers, and partner local businesses to ensure the process runs smoothly, as in previous years.

Lipton will also continue to implement hygiene measures for the health and safety of its producers and employees during tea purchases. In addition, as in previous years, 5000 farmers will be provided with a food and home hygiene package within the scope of the harvest.

FREE TRAININGS FOR MANUFACTURERS CONTINUES

Trainings for producers, which were held online during the pandemic process, will also be given in face-to-face meetings with the start of the harvest this year. Within the scope of these trainings, which will be held free of charge, producers will be provided with the Importance of Sustainable Tea Agriculture, Soil Sampling and Fertilization, Combating Erosion and the Concept of Buffer Zone, Domestic Waste Management, Methods of Combating Invasive Species and Record Keeping, Occupational Health and Employee Safety, Fair Treatment of Employees, Garden Care and Information will be given on pruning, pesticide use and personal protection equipment (PPE).
