Eker Dairy Products Celebrates Its 45th Anniversary

Bringing together taste and health in Turkey for 45 years, Eker Dairy Products maintained its domestic market share in 2021 and became the first brand to export milk desserts from Turkey to European Union countries. Setting off with the goal of recovery and growth at the beginning of 2020 after a challenging 2021 all over the world, Eker opened 5 new regional warehouses and increased the number of warehouses across the country to 42. Eker continues to create employment; Together with the factory in Bursa, the head office and regional branches, the number of employees increased to over 1.800 people.

Evaluating Eker's activities in 2021, Eker Dairy Products Deputy General Manager Nevra Eker, said: “We have all learned a lot from the pandemic process, where our habits have changed, both in business life and in our daily lives. While we healed the wounds of the pandemic with the strategies we created with a more agile, faster and more creative perspective in 2021, we also contributed to the recovery of our industry.” Stating that they are working towards innovative products, digitalization and export in 2021, Nevra Eker continued her words as follows: “In line with the modern nutrition trends that have become widespread with the pandemic, we have expanded our probiotic product range that provides functional benefits. Our probiotic family; We developed it with our fruity probiotic yoghurt options and new yoghurt weights and increased it to 12 products. With the 'Gourmet Series', which we position as 'the most delicious form of chocolate', we presented new options that are candidates to be among the favorite flavors of chocolate lovers. We have developed our digital muscles in order to be closer to our customers and to serve them whenever they need. With all these developments, while maintaining our market share in our country, we also experienced the pride of being the first brand to export milk desserts from Turkey to European Union countries. We started exporting our other traditional delicacies such as cream and classic feta cheese to the European Union after milk desserts.”

Eker Dairy Products Deputy General Manager Nevra Eker emphasized that corporate social responsibility activities are among her focus areas: “Within the scope of the 'People with Autism in the Workforce' employment project, which we carry out with the support of Tohum Autism Foundation in order to help reintegrate individuals with autism into the society and to relieve their families' concerns about the future, We employ 10 individuals with autism in our factory. We continue to develop this exemplary employment model with a strategy that will inspire the business world. We held the Eker I Run, which we traditionally organize to increase the love of sports and goodness, in 2021 with the participation of nearly 3000 athletes.”

Stating that Eker is celebrating its 2022th birthday in 45, Nevra Eker added that while continuing to produce healthy and delicious dairy products, they will also prioritize social responsibility activities that provide social benefits.

Materials

  • 250 g shredded wheat
  • 125g butter
  • 525 grams (850 mL) Golf Royal Gourmet Silifke Strawberry Ice Cream

For the syrup:

  • Half a tea glass of sugar
  • Half a tea glass of water (65 ml)
  • 1-2 drops of lemon juice

Preparation of

  • First, let's prepare our syrup. To do this, combine the sugar and water in a pot, stir, and bring to a boil.
  • After boiling for 10 minutes, add the lemon juice, boil for another 5 minutes, remove from the heat and let it cool.
  • Put the shredded wheat in a mixing bowl, add the melted butter and mix well.
  • Take small pieces of shredded wheat and place them in muffin molds, pressing them to create a hollow in the middle.
  • Let's bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C, without upper or lower fan setting, for about 20 minutes.
    After the fried kadayıf is cooled, drizzle the syrup over it. It's important to leave this process until just before serving to ensure it retains its crispiness.
